Fall Hairstyle for Long Hairs 2025: Cute & Effortless Looks to Try This Season
The leaves are changing, the sweater season has officially begun, and it’s time to change something–at least your hair. However, you are not ready to make a dramatic chop or change in color full? That’s where styling steps in. Balanced, simple, and wearable: that is what this fall hairstyle on long hairs is about, as far as soft waves, braids, bold buns, and bangs are concerned.
Need something cute, a bit casual or effortlessly aesthetic? Be it blonde, brunette or bold enough to venture, these 2025 fashions are designed with everyday magic. We are going to go down the rabbit hole of the most inspirational long hair moments that will make you screenshot and pin before your next wash day.
Whimsical Half-Up Space Buns
Effortlessly cute and a little bit nostalgic, there is something about the half-up space buns on loose waves. It is as though your inner child has finally discovered her Pinterest board. This fashion is an instant personality to long hair, so it is one of the top fall hairstyles that long+hair kids will not scream of trying too hard. The buns provide lift at the top without leaving the rest of the hair hard and crunchy, hence, you have the volume and the romance. This one fits in an apple orchard date or a casual weekend coffee run in a ribbed turtleneck.
When you have straight hair, it would be nice to have curling wand to give you those dreamy ends to balance those cute buns. The Amika Un.Done Volume and Matte Texture Spray has worked well to hold the volume without stiffness – I create sections of the bun, smooth them with a boar bristle brush, before pinning them in place.
This appearance seems to me to be a slight rebellion against boring hair. It is not difficult to do, but it is expressive. I have even put it on to a friend art show and in casual dinners. You will be amazed by the number of compliments you will receive on something that will only take you less than 10 minutes to complete.
What’s missing? Frankly speaking, perhaps a couple of gold hoops or a peachy blush to make up the softness. Now this hairstyle does not simply preserve the mood, it is the mood. And that’s a win.
Messy Bun with Headband Magic
Whenever I think of simple hair on crisp autumn mornings that is still presentable, I think of this one. The messy bun in a dense headband is that in-between style of both cozy and stylish we all wish. This appearance glorifies volume, rather than controlling it, especially in naturally curly or wavy textures. Be it when you are running errands or you are attending a casual brunch, it is practical yet elevated. The headband adds structure to the entire thing, “I planned this, even though you did not,” says the headband.
Fall weather is also notoriously dry; therefore, curls and coils require an infusion of hydration. The SheaMoisture Coconut Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie provides that soft, defined non-crunchy look. And when working with second-day hair, even a little dry shampoo at the root can add the lift to the bun without losing its effect.
This is what I would call one of my hairstyles that make me look like a clean girl with a twist. It achieves a lot with a little. I used to wear this on a day-long road trip and still felt like I was put together when I arrived. A coordinating scrunchie is all you need and you are good to go.
Pro tip? There is no reason to be afraid of letting those front tendrils fall naturally. A tiny face-framing gesture smooths all that out and adds balance.
Butterfly Puffs and Baby Hair Brilliance
Is it possible to discuss the coexistence of drama and softness? It is a mood in itself with this high puffy double puff and a butterfly clip on the baby hair. It is making the protagonist vigorous. What I like about this fall hairstyle on long hair is that it makes volume a sculptural piece. And yet something so sweet and gay about it. The butterflies? Totally Y2K-meets-now. You’re in the mood to be cute, bold and fun this fall, then this is your time.
Moisturizing leave-ins are not negotiable where textured hair is concerned. Pattern by Tracee Ellis Ross is something I can always recommend – I love her buttery weightless slip that defines the hair without adding any weight. Edge control is key here, too. If you are looking to keep your baby hairs where you put them, try Try Ebin New York 24 Hour Edge Tamer.
This is the type of hairstyle I use when I feel like being powerful but friendly. And I have indeed reused the butterflies with new outfits 100 per cent. The accessories count here – they are not ornament, they are part of the shape.
Feeling bold this season? This one’s your sign.
Glossy Ribbons and Romantic Waves
Should there be such an answer to the question What’s the softest fall hairstyle? – this would be the answer. Very long and shiny waves, with satin bows in them, make you feel like you have just left a Jane Austen adaptation but in 2025. It is elegant but not fussy, pleasant but not coy. The contrast of the waving texture and the sharp ribbons creates some sort of visual harmony which simply feels appropriate as the weather changes. And Brunettes are particularly fine at this – the contrast is stupendous.
This one takes a little attention – consider anti-frizz serum and heat defense over those single waves. I will also always rely on the Color Wow Dream Coat – nothing keeps the shine in like this product and nothing allows moisture to destroy the finish. When you have straight hair, a twisted flat iron will work.
What I like best is that this is wearable. You can go to a bookshop to a dinner party and not change anything. Light perfume spray and an old button-up would definitely finish the story.
Looking to act like a walking Pinterest board? Here you go.
Big Braid with Bardot Bangs
This hair style literally requires a fall breeze. There is something about the braid in a rope-like style, thrown over one shoulder, with bangs and waves that fall up against the face, that is everlastingly glamorous. It is classy without being flashy – somewhat Brigitte Bardot with an added modern flair. When you want to make an impression or simply attract attention in Trader Joe, this one is your chance.
To hold this braid together and to ensure movement, I adore Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. It is easy to grip and does not feel rigid. And the bangs – just a flick of a flat iron and a drop of smoothing serum (any Kérastase Elixir Ultime would do) is all you need.
I have worn this to fall weddings, and it just matches so well with strapless dresses or knits that are off the shoulder. The manner in which the braid fits round the collarbone is sculptural and deliberate.
Want to do something with your braids that does not seem summer camp-y? Here is the adult version we have all been anticipating.
Voluminous Soft Ponytails
This two-ponyttail style is part traditional beauty with a touch of flirtiness – and it is definitely on-trend in 2025. The curled excess at the ends adds bounce and body and is perfect on any person with long and layered hair who wants to display that volume. The raised crown and a very well-positioned parting is what makes it really stand out. It is the type of casual, simple style that is editorial and at the same time fully wearable – like the in-between of glam and casual.
When your hair has the tendency to flatten, preparation is all. I tend to begin with a volumizing mousse such as Living Proof Full Thickening Mousse and a blowout brush to achieve that lightness. Then get a 1.25″ curling iron to provide those swooping ends. Apply clean elastics to give the hair a clean cut and flyaways a light mist of hair oil or serum.
I like that this appearance does not overdo it. I had an equivalent of that last month at a day to night event, and I never touched it at all. It is flirtatious and not too styled – and, yes, it can definitely be worn with anything fuzzy or off the shoulder.
You can also test this by sticking bits of accent over the elastics or you can add a velvet bow to achieve that Pinterest-core moment. This one’s a mood.
Soft Boho Waves with Defined Tendrils
These waves have a poetic softness to them – not beachy, not vintage. Just…fall. The perfectly framed tendrils around the face and the little braids concealed in the lengths, this appearance appeals to the girl who appreciates detail. The movement is free, the texture enriched and the vibe is completely romantic. It is the type of casual appearance that makes you feel costly – either when you are dressing up or when you are keeping it neutral.
This type of texture grows with some moisture and shape memory. I prefer to apply a leave-in curl cream such as Briogeo Curl Charisma on my wet hair and scrunch and diffuse. In the case of the tendrils, the curling wand of the small-barrel size works miracles, but you must always remember to pull through them in order to get that easy look.
I happened to see one at NYFW on the Altuzarra runway and immediately realized that it would trickle down to life wear. Something universally flattering about softness around the face is that as it gets colder and cozier, the cozy textures get uncovered.
Want a twist? To add mini accent braids you can interlace them all over and fasten them with either clear elastics or thread gold wire to give them a more editorial feel.
Modern Bubble Braid with Golden Rings
Cool and sculptural, this modern version of the bubble braid is straight raw power. The segments defined with exaggerated metallic cuffs contribute futuristic elements to a plain ponytail. It is a great alternative to a blonde hair, particularly when it is combined with a minimum of fashion – the hair speaks it all. This is your statement piece, when you want to feel pulled-together without an updo, and in those fall days.
To achieve this formal appearance, I always straighten the hair first with a straightener and apply a shine balm such as the IGK Mistress Hydrating Hair Balm. Then cut the pony with elastics or cuffs and stretch the bubbles nice and round. This type is most effective on thick or medium hair that has a shape.
I believe the quiet drama is what I like best – it does not shout to be noticed, but it is certainly noticeable. I have worn variations of this to gallery openings and to elegant dinners and each time, someone will tell me, Wait – how did you do that?
It would be a fantastic option on brunettes, as well – just replace the gold cuffs with either rose or matte black. Everything is customization.
Textured French Twist with Loose Strands
Here the classic French twist is softened, with lived-in texture and romantic face-framing layers. It is glamorous yet not too fastidious, sophisticated yet sloppy. This is a must-have especially when you have long hair and you want something that appears classy yet you can also see the volume. Imagine it is the Audrey Hepburn vibe 2025.
I use a texturizing spray, such as Oribe Dry Texture, to prep and a small amount of backcombing to the crown to add some height. Then it is all soft rolling and pinning, leaving a few tendrils out about the ears. A small smear of R+Co Pomade Stick is magic to be used as control and shine.
This is an adult glam hairstyle that has a hint of rebelliousness to it. I have worn it to occasions where I was not aware of the dress code and the dress always hit the right balance. It works particularly well on brunettes, as the texture can be really brought out in the light.
Put on a pair of hoops, and a swipe of gloss, and all of a sudden you are the lead in a fall rom-com. This twist just gets it.
Retro Side Part with Glossy Waves
Slick, shiny, and dripping with glamour – this style of deep side part and sculpted wave is the one I would describe as the fall hairstyle of the fashion girl with long hair. It has that Parisian feel to it, particularly when a leather beret is worn and gold accessories are added. The wave is timeless and the gloss factor is off scale. It is the one you wear when it is crisp in the city and you want your hair to show the attitude you are feeling: calm, hip, and totally in charge.
In this kind of finish, I will recommend Dyson Airwrap with the smoothing brush then the wave barrel. There is nothing that can replace the Kérastase Elixir Ultime to achieve that mirror-like shine. Lightly spray with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray to maintain it all in place without freezing the movement.
It is providing Vogue editor, it is providing front row at fashion week. I put this exact wave on during a fall dinner on an outdoor rooftop in NYC and felt like I was on the cover of something.
Want to lean into the drama? Make your lips match what you are wearing and make your hair your number one accessory.
Playful Scrunchie Space Buns
Silky scrunchies on these dual buns make them the definition of cute, confident, and practical. Balanced to perfection on the top of the head, they outline the face in a manner that exposes natural texture and movement. With long hair where the curl or coil pattern is present, this style keeps you cool without losing volume. The unkempt, demarcated tendrils are provided with a free-flowing softness that is absolutely perfect on cold fall weekends or when you simply feel like escaping a style rut.
I prefer applying leave-in cream based on pomegranate and honey as in the Mielle Pomegranate & Honey Curl Smoothie to fix the hair with moisture and make the coils remain wet in dry air. The base is smoothed with a soft boar bristle brush to get a cleaner finish and the scrunchies provide a retro look that is current.
This appearance adds fun to formal styles – it is controlled disorder at its best. I have worn it on rainy days with an oversized denim jacket with compliments that made me wish I had taken a photo. It is the fall variant of ready in 10 and still worth a photo.
Feeling experimental? Wear mismatched scrunchies, or in autumnal colors such as cinnamon, burnt orange, or water-blue.
Sleek Simplicity with a Retro Headband
Cool and understated, this type of headband has a significant silent luxury vibe. The broad band of fabric is pulled away and the long, straight hair is free to do its job. Whether you are going to class, working remotely, or picking up your PSL on the run, this outfit is relaxed, cool, and classic. Bonus: the retro twist knot provides the necessary amount of detail to interrupt the silhouette.
To maintain straight hair and appear neat during the humidity changes in the fall, I would suggest an oiling shampoo and conditioner such as Olaplex No. 4 & 5. A heat protectant product such as CHI 44 Iron Guard is necessary before applying styling. Then a final swab with a flat-iron will make sure the lengths are sleek and frizz-free underneath the band.
I tend to rely on this appearance when travelling or when having hectic schedules. It takes nearly no time and yields huge payoff. And the difference between the aesthetic band and red statement earrings? That’s a move.
Remember – a graphic lip or draped collar squares this appearance on the spot without struggling to combat the simplicity. Silent hair is said to speak the loudest at times.
Crowned Rope Braids with Volume
Part cool, part romantic, this broken halo braid has all the grandeur of a Renaissance painting made with a definite 2025 makeover. This appearance, produced by the arrangement of the rope braids, looped and tucked into a crown shape, is what makes this look have that how did you do that quality. Fits well with long hair and leaves you with that face-framing flair without pulling all the hair off your neck.
To prevent slip and to hold, begin by applying dry shampoo or texturizing spray to the roots. Before applying the product, I apply Ouai Super Dry Shampoo to add and freeze the volume. Next cut a part of the hair and make two rope twists very heavy and tie it on top of your head. One or two bobby pins inserted and you have it.
This is the style I use when I want to attract attention quite subtly. It is not heavy-handed, but it is detailed. I put it on a square-neck top or black velvet tops to allow it to shine. It looks very regal, without being precious or old-fashioned.
And if, by chance, you are a brunette or red-haired, this one is particularly eye-catching – there is such volume in the darker shades that the twist pattern stands out.
Two-Toned Spiky Space Buns
Welcome to the bold zone. These straight space buns alternated with smooth straight lengths and redhead peekaboo color blocking are all. The contrast between black and ferocious copper shouts 2025 confidence. It is sharp, high-impact, and TikTok-anywhere – all without being unusually impractical in terms of wearing out of your night or on the street.
Such color requires maintenance – particularly the copper parts. To maintain the pigment I would suggest the dpHUE Color Fresh Shampoo in reds. To retain the shiny sections glassy, apply a high shine serum such as Paul Mitchell Super Skinny and then flat iron it. The buns themselves have good holding power when pomaded with a light pomade.
This look is pure expression. Not what is in but what is yours. I felt unstoppable when I wore something similar last fall with a black moto jacket because I felt like I finally had a way to demonstrate both softness and strength.
Thinking of trying it? Just go for it. Hair grows and confidence is not earned by being safe.
French-Inspired Buns with Baby Bangs
This would be the fall hair of Wednesday Addams had she migrated to Paris. Twin buns are pulled up high, slightly teased, with a slight messiness and accompanied by bangs which are so delicate they seem like lace. It is both grunge and retro and daydreamy. It takes that indie spirit into the colder seasons and polishes it enough to wear to a gallery opening or dinner date with friends.
Baby bangs need to be trimmed regularly, but with a mini flat iron and a touch of styling wax, it is easy to straighten them. I apply TIGI Bed Head Wax Stick, it provides a sufficient level of hold without drying. Even the buns are better when tightened by sticking them into place. Dry shampoo also provides volume when your hair is too clean to hold on to.
There is something so wonderfully paradoxical about this appearance. The building is retro, the atmosphere is cool artist and the dress is I am not here to fit in. I love it during fall evenings out when it is time to get creative with your dress code.
A red lip is also to be remembered – the piece of the puzzle that puts the whole mood together.
High Pony with a Velvet Bow
Something about a sky-high ponytail is so easy to envisage as powerfully sleek and polished and a bit sassy. This one is the type of hair you pull up when you are in a rush, but still want to appear like you have your whole life planned out. That elevation in combination with the slight volume at the crown immediately elongates the face. And that gentling roll descending? Dreamy. The velvet pink bow is just enough nostalgia, neither too flirty, nor too grown-up. Certainly a winning decision to those who are inclined towards the style of whimsical femininity this fall.
To re-create this, you have to make sure to keep the frizz under control by using a smoothing gel, which in this case I personally like using the IGK Good Behavior Spirulina Protein Smoothing Spray. It provides heat protection and glass-like luster which endures. Train your teasing on the crown and Dress that bow with a skinny elastic at the bottom to get a tight base and then Pin that bow right at the point the magic begins.
My initial thought about bows was that they were a little too sweet sixteen until I saw celebrity stylist such as Justine Marjan lean into ribbon cuts on clients during red carpets. I wear them now without apology. The secret here is to wear it with bright eye shadow or hoops, otherwise you risk going too far on the side of schoolgirl.
Whether you have long hair or not, this is a simple, fast one to wear out in the fall, to the pumpkin patch, or even that between-work-and-happy-hour time. It is so adorable without being too try-hard – and don’t we all wish we were like that?
Statement Braids with a Twist
Hair coupled with color makes a serious statement and this is not a whisper but a bold green braid moment. This long-hair fall hairstyle is expressive, self-confident, and creative. The braids are smooth and well distributed, giving it visual length and symmetry, and the color makes it cool and memorable. It is the type of appearance that causes people to pause halfway through the scroll and utter, Okay, who is she? The orange turban further intensifies the warm undertones and the entire look is bold to brunettes or whoever feels like experimenting this 2025.
Hair that is treated with color, particularly very bright colors, requires special attention. Once per week, I apply the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Perfector in order to ensure the strands are moist and not broken. And even satin pillow cases? Non-negotiable. Your braids do not unravel or frizz and they stay neat-looking days.
This appearance reminds me of a girl I saw in Venice Beach last fall she had mint-green weaves and a burnt-orange windbreaker on and I guarantee the whole boardwalk stared. It was that kind of energy. The hue was living, shocking, and yet so grounded in the earth-tones of fall.
Would I go neon green myself? Maybe not. But adding colored extensions to look on a weekend? That I can do. It is like coloring your hair without commitment – ideal with fad dabblers such as myself.
Waves with a Crown Braid
This appearance is the epitome of easy, uncomplicated and stealthy luxury. The crown braid also subtly surrounds the face and also lets the loose waves do their thing. There is something about a fairy princess who has just stepped out of a warm bookshop. Good in the morning, apple-picking, or simply being there on a normal Tuesday. I love that this braid does not take over the style but adds to it – an exquisite necklace on a cashmere sweater. Blonde is the most flattering color to capture the light, and it looks stunning with natural texture or set waves.
This is the time to use a curling wand as your best friend. Use 1 to 1.25 inch barrels and never leave the curl in the same direction to achieve that non-uniform romantic look. To hold and move but not stiff I use Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray. And to fix the braid, apply a little bit of styling cream to fix flyaways.
This one is my sort of go-to when I want to feel like I have made an effort but not like I changed. I have put it on first dates and family dinners. It can never go without a compliment – even by women who do not normally like braids but adore this.
The loveliness of this style is the fact that it is flexible. Depending on what you are wearing, you can make it either more sleek or boho. And speaking of dresses, it goes well with a big knit sweater or puffer jacket to that high/low contrast we all silently desire in fall.
Messy Bun and Full Bangs
Okay, let’s talk bangs. They may be polarizing, yet in combination with a high messy bun? Chef’s kiss. This appearance is easily hip, urban, and completely wearable. It is somewhat French, somewhat 90s and very 2025. The bun is not over-stamped – it is loose and worn, yet the straight full fringe keeps everything in check. The contrast works. This combination is magic in the mornings when you are in a hurry but you want your hair to appear as though you made an effort to look good yet you barely had a coffee.
Maintenance tip? Bangs should be trimmed on a regular basis – 3 to 4 times a month. And a mini flat iron is your secret to keep them lying flat without puffiness. I have GHD Mini Styler and I can rely on it.
Fun fact: hairstylist Chris Appleton (the one Kim K visits regularly) advises that messy buns are best when a little volume is left behind at the top of the head, and baby hairs are styled to cascade back and over the sides of the head. Makes it less hard and the style not look rough.
When you are a brunette, this appearance seems to be even more screaming – there is something about the intensity of the shade and the dramatic fringe that produces this movie effect. Similar to, main-character-walking-through-fall-leaves energy.
Mini Buns with Front Braids
The combination of forward braiding and a twin mini bun with these front twins signals that you need a bit of fun without compromising the wearability. The appearance is retro-futuristic somewhere Coachella and somewhere casual fall coffee run. It is adorable, effortless and looks good on second and third-day hair. The proportions are just right: the structure is on top and the softness around the face. Besides, it compliments any shape of a face, and any type of hair, in particular, long and thick hair.
So it will last, first spray roots with dry shampoo (I can’t live without Batiste Original), and then add soft elastics that will not pull. And always forget shine spray on the braids – that shiny look is all.
The first time I put on this outfit was in a local flea market towards the end of last fall when I wore it with oversized denim and a pair of boots and felt like I was in my own indie film. All people wanted to know the origin of the idea. It is childish and formatted and that juxtaposition keeps it out of the realm of too childish.
You will not regret not sleeping on this one during back-to-school season, Friday among friends, or simply when you need your hair to be bold and fun and completely in charge.
Classic Braided Twins with Velvet Ribbons
This style takes us directly to the fall aesthetic nostalgia – two plump braids that are knotted with black velvet ribbons that whisper of childhood but are so serious and grown-up at the same time. That separation is accurate, the braids are tight and symmetrical and the finish? Natural, not too much movement to make it look too finished. It is endlessly and poignantly new, and is perfect compared to those who skew towards a simple, sophisticated, minimalist mood in the season. Applys perfectly to blonde hair to create the golden-lit glow that fall afternoons are composed of.
To make this your fall with ease go-to look, you want to start with super detangled hair and prep it with a smoothing cream–I like the Amika Velveteen Dream Smoothing Balm. It provides that smooth shiny texture, but it does not make the hair flat. Finish with some light-hold hair spray to get it all to stay in without stiffening.
This appearance takes me to the time when I learned to weave my own hair in college. I would also leave little bows on a bad hair day and somehow someone would always leave a comment about it. It is evidence that occasionally even the most adorable and basic appearances can be the most effective – particularly when combined with a pair of bold hoops or a dark coat.
The point is that you do not have to reinvent the wheel each season. This glance reminds us that the braids are classic and that they can be reworked over and over. Insert clips, colored strips or even tuck the ends under to create a twisted one. Allow your accessories and outerwear to alter the mood.
Romantic Twisted Crown Braid
There is something gentle about this one that makes it immediately romantic and a touch boho. Both pieces of hair are plaited to meet at a central braid that forms a halo-like shape which is incredibly flattering. The loose, wavy blonde strands have dimension, and the twists mingle wonderfully into the plait, making this a favorite among those pursuing that effortless, sunkisses appearance, despite the cool autumn air. It is multifunctional, sleek and appears to have required significantly more effort than it really does. An ideal mixture of informal and elegant.
This style remains the same when left with texture spray prior to braiding. I am a big fan of the Not Your Mother Beach Babe Texturizing Spray–it provides some hold, but does not feel sticky, and it makes the braid feel more substantial. Turn without worry, and do not bother about making it perfect–imperfection is in the beauty of it.
The best thing about this type of style is that it can be worn on casual days in loose knits, yet it can also be dressed up easily with a silk blouse. I have taken this on weekend markets and once to a fall wedding, and it suited both of these moods perfectly.
When trying out new fall hairstyles with long hair, this one leaves you with infinite options to make it your own–tuck in some dried flowers, clip it, or loosen it up. It has more to do with purpose than perfection.
Face-Framing Micro Braids with Charms
This one is a little magical. The backdrop is long, loose waves but the best part? The smallest of braids set just so as to encircle the face, and in each braid a lunar moon-shaped charm which reflects the light in the most exquisite manner. Something about this style seems dreamy, almost fairytale, but it somehow feels completely wearable, particularly to those who are into boho aesthetic vibes in fall. It is an ideal middle ground: it is soft, structured, glam, and grounded.
Moroccanoil Treatment Light is what I use to keep those braids in place, and to ensure they do not frizz. It will add shine without making the hair very heavy and it keeps those moon charms in place without being lost in flyaways. The texture in the loose parts can also be brought out by using a light sea salt spray.
I recall this very mood on one of the music nights at a fall rooftop party in Brooklyn. It was mystical, as the hair itself had a story to tell. I kept it in mind, and it is what I make now when I feel like a bit of whimsey.
It is also a simple method of freshening up second-day hair without washing and styling. Slim head-turner no matter where you are headed.
Space Braid Bubbles with Middle Part
Now here’s a bold one. The sculpted structure of these tall, spaced-out bubble braids makes a futuristic statement without being in any way unfashionable to wear. The clean center section provides balance to the entire style, and the sectioned pattern forms a cool geometry which is surprisingly flattering. It is your all purpose fall hairstyle with long hairs when you need something modern, structured, and a little edgy.
Important here is elastic maintenance. I apply snag-free mini elastics and apply a small portion of Ouai Matte Pomade between my fingers to smooth the baby hairs before wrapping the sections. In case your hair is not naturally thick, you can put a little dry texture spray in the puff to make the bubbles stick in place.
I once wore this type to a fall festival and felt instantly put together even after I rolled out of bed 30 minutes ago. It does not blow away easy, dance, or even hat hair. Definitely a plus.
This appearance can be considered a high maintenance one, but it is easy once you know how to do the sectioning. And the best part? It also takes great pictures in all angles. This is one of those that you can enjoy as long as you like a surprise.
Blonde Buns and Bouncy Bangs
Playful, coquettish and autumnal – this half-up space bun costume is charming. It is special because of the bangs, twisted in just the right way, and soft ringlets falling down. It is a wink to the early 2000s but fully modernized to 2025. The platinum blonde is a very bright shade, particularly when contrasting with warm fall colors or deeper lip colors. It is childish, and yet not childish.
This one feeds off of styling prep. Define waves with a curling iron and pin the buns up with soft pins that will not dent the hair. I complete with Bumble and bumble Surf Wave Foam to get a light hold that does not lose its touch or appear motionless. Adding an anti-frizz serum will keep the waves bouncy should you be dealing with humidity or any kind of water exposure (such as misty mornings).
I’ve been obsessed with this appearance since early September and it has become my Sunday outfit. I also wear it on long walks to get coffee and huge cardigans. The adorable buns make it youthful, and the bangs make the face look framed even without having to work especially hard.
It is also one of those last-minute, easy styles that feel purposeful. It adds volume, form and texture without much ado. Is there anything more that we could desire in a fall hair moment?
