August Toe Nails Ideas 2025: Trendy Color and Design Inspo for Late Summer Pedikyr

When the heat hits its peak and your sandals come out to play, it’s toe polish season in full swing. But if you’ve ever stared down that wall of gel shades at the salon, totally overwhelmed, you’re not alone. What color screams late-summer luxury? What design feels fresh—but still wearable at the office? Now, let us discuss real options, i.e. ideas that will make you feel stylish without trying, even when you are simply slipping into slides to go shopping at Target. These are the pedicure vibes that will take you into the final heatwaves of summer 2025 without any regrets and a lot of compliments.

Sage Green Minimalism

There’s something quietly powerful about a sage green pedicure. It’s soft without being boring, earthy without being boho. The dull green is so well matched with warm-colored skin and gold details, it is fresh, it is calm, it is saying, I actually drink matcha. Squared-off, perfectly glossy nails give the look a modern touch to what would otherwise be a neutral. It is classy and cool with a touch of summer garden energy.

Sage Green Minimalism+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
For this look, I’d recommend OPI’s “Suzi Talks With Her Hands” as your base—though Essie’s “Can Dew Attitude” is another dreamy green that plays well with late-summer light. A glossy top coat is non-negotiable. Gel polish maintains the softness in a clean and sharp manner in weeks.

I usually prep my nails with a gentle file, push the cuticles back (cutting isn’t always necessary), and go in with two layers of color and one gel top coat. Let each coat fully cure under an LED lamp. On the clean edge around the cuticle, I am a believer in the fine detailing brush dipped in acetone, one of those micro tips that makes a home pedi look salon quality.

Wearing this color always feels like a fresh reset. I had this same shade last year when I was in Seattle and I swear I got compliments on it by every other barista. It is a sleeper color that comes to take the entire show.

Deep Cherry Red Luxe

This deep red polish with a baddie vibe is not obnoxious. It is not as classic red, not as vampy as it is luxe, in other words, the August equivalent of a power suit. The square-oval nail shape softens the impact just enough. It provides a sort of vibe that says, don t mess with me but yes, I am free on wine night.

Deep Cherry Red Luxe+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
To complete the ideal match, Dior Rouge Massai 853 or Zoya Courtney is a great choice, both are vampy with a richness and a gloss that is contemporary. If you’re going gel, try Beetles Gel Polish Set – Vamp Collection—I use shade #229 for that Cabernet-red payoff.

Here’s my at-home process: buff the nail plate to remove oils (but don’t overfile), apply a sticky base coat, then go in with two thin coats of polish. then cure and top-coat. Everything cooled down and cuticle oil is the difference maker.

Red toes are not radical, but you know what, they are memorable. This color makes me feel sophisticated even when I am in my kitchen in bare feet with a glass of cold sangria.

Juicy Summer Coral

Coral pink is essentially the golden hour of polish colors, it looks good on everyone, it goes with any outfit and it immediately looks put-together. This tone is somewhere between light orange and warm pink, so it is perfect to use on sun-kissed August skin. This color will never go out of fashion because it is classic, and it is not outdated.

Juicy Summer Coral+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
You can try Olive & June’s “Stinson Sunset” or OPI’s “Got Myself into a Jam-balaya.” The secret to this appearance is the intensity of the color and should not be too sheer. The creamy almost-opaque finishes give the juicy feel you desire on your toes at the height of summer.

This type of color will make me miss nail art most times. It holds its own. All that is required is just neat edges and a top coat of high gloss. And when you are in a mood to be playful, then go matte, it produces a velvet peach effect, which is surprisingly cool.

I like this color as it makes me feel good immediately. I went to a rooftop barbecue wearing coral toes and white linen pants and knew that I had an advantage when it comes to style. It attracts the light, it attracts compliments and it may just attract feelings.

Classic Indigo Energy

Dark blue polish is a summer sleeper hit. It is dark and theatrical but not wintery, particularly when combined with simple design such as denim or linen. I gravitate toward these kinds of colors when I want something bold but not too “look at me.” This blue is contemporary, broody and a bit nautical but make it stylish.

Classic Indigo Energy+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
Essie and Lights Lacquer have the best nail polishes that you cannot go wrong with, namely, the After School Boy Blazer and Porter Miami. In case you want to go gel, the Madam Glam in the shade of Midnight Whisper will provide that rich glossy navy with practically no streaking.

This color goes in fact perfectly well with silver toe rings or anklets in case you prefer such a discreet accessorizing. And it performs admirably, chips are less noticeable, and it comes in handy when you have to go back and forth between pool days and errands.

I have used this style to go to beach weekends and informal dinner parties. It adds an unexpected polish (literally) to your outfit and always feels grown-up, but never too serious.

Teal Leopard with a Twist

Now this is the wild card. Teal ground, leopard print and a gold stripe to bring it all together? It’s giving fashion-forward, tropical glam. Leopard print on toes may sound too much, but when it comes in cool colors and high-gloss finish, it looks fashionable- not goofy. It is a vacation pedi, as far as I can see.

Teal Leopard with a Twist+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
This look takes a bit more artistry. I recommend using Born Pretty’s Teal Gel Polish #216, then adding leopard spots using a dotting tool and black polish (like Orly’s “Liquid Vinyl”). The gold stripe is made possible by a metallic striping tape or by painting with a micro brush and Essie Good as gold.

It’s not an everyday look, and that’s the point. This one is destined to be in the limelight- destination weddings, poolside brunches or whenever you want your toes to do the talking.

One of my friends had a similar style to Miami last summer and she told me that people actually stopped her in the elevator to inquire about it. It is one of those designs that are a bit more but in the most positive sense.

Milky Nude Simplicity

The clean-girl move of all time is a soft milky nude pedicure. It’s barely-there, but it still speaks volumes. The faintly pinkish-beige base adds just the right amount of warmth to suit most skin tones, and the mirror-gloss topcoat makes it have that glazed-donut texture we all have been trying to achieve since Hailey Bieber made it a trend. It’s polished without trying too hard. Think summer capsule wardrobe, but on your toes.

Milky Nude Simplicity+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
Among my favorite choices to use in this is OPI bubble bath or DND milky white. They are both sheer enough to provide that natural nail look, but can be built up in case you want more coverage. And this one does not go without a gel top coat, gloss is everything with this look.

My routine is to first put on a base coat, then two coats of the nude polish allowing each to dry completely before finishing with a top coat that is glass-like. It’s quick, fresh, and never goes out of style. In Allure, nail artist Tom Bachik once stated that clean tones such as these would make the toes look longer and make it look like one has just come out of a spa. He wasn’t wrong.

I use this appearance when I am too confused by choices. It relaxes everything- and goes with all of my sandals.

Tropical Aqua & Gold Accent

Bright turquoise and gold? Say no more. This design shouts out to the world that you are on vacation even when you are only on a weekend by your backyard pool. The cool aqua base with glittering gold foil accents is just right in August when you need something a bit fun but a bit more upscale. Bonus: the full glitter nail gives a lot of shine, particularly in the sun.

Tropical Aqua & Gold Accent+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
I apply Gelish in the color called Mint Icing as the base, and CND in the color called Gold Chrome Foil on that stripe. The glittery accent nail? Zoya Ziv- it is pigmented enough to become opaque with one swipe.

If you’re doing this yourself, use striping tape for the clean gold lines and cure each color separately. Top coat the whole thing and be sure to press the foil in before the polish is either too wet or too dry.

I had something similar on a trip to Cabo last year and was stopped on the beach more times than I could count. Something about turquoise just makes people smile.

Sunny Dots & Yellow Pop

Bright yellow polish is like sunshine on your toes to begin with, but add to it this whimsical dot design and you have a playful reference to mod fashion-without being in costume. The yellow color brings vitality to the whole foot, and the dotted detail gives it a cheeky touch, which, nevertheless, remains adult.

Sunny Dots & Yellow Pop+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
My favorite shade of this tone is Sally Hansen Mellow Yellow or Essie Hay There. It’s warm, creamy, and fully opaque. For the black dots, a simple dotting tool and any jet-black polish (like OPI’s “Black Onyx”) will work.

Begin with two coats of yellow then apply the dotting tool to make the polka dot design on the accent nail. It assists to dab some polish on foil and proceed with it. Finish with a top coat to prevent chipping—yellow tends to show chips faster than you’d expect.

This style makes me feel retro, as though I am drinking something citrusy by the pool in Palm Springs. I have paired it up with denim cutoffs and white tank and felt like I was in a magazine.

Daisy Bloom Accent

Could anything be more summery than a daisy pedicure? The combination of the bright yellow with the delicate, coral-pink background and that clean white daisy image on the big toe is all the right things: flirty, feminine, a bit nostalgic. It is providing lemonade stands and sunshine but in the most stylish manner.

Daisy Bloom Accent+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
Apply Olive & June Bright and Focused on the yellow, and Essie Tart Deco on that soft coral. The daisy can be drawn using a nail art brush or sticker—many salons now carry floral decals if you’re not into freehand.

Paint your base color and allow it to dry thoroughly, after which you can then position the daisy at the edge or corner of the big toenail. It does not have to be centralized- that is the beauty of it. Cover it up with a quick drying top coat to prevent smudging of the art.

I can feel more playful every time I put on florals on my toes. It is such a minor thing, yet it makes every summer outfit look thought-out, even the most basic T-shirt dress and flip flops.

Glossy Kiss White Pop

It is the perfect baddie meets Barbie combination of this white base with glossy pink kiss marks. The design is half adorable and half self-assured a bit of a flirt and a bit of a fashionista. The white polish is the blank canvas and the bright pink print of the lips is the shiny sticker-book drama.

Glossy Kiss White Pop+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
Let us begin with the OPI Alpine Snow still one of the finest true-white polishes ever. For the lip print, you can either use a stamping plate (yes, those still exist and are having a quiet comeback) or a nail decal. MoYou London has amazing lip art in hot pink which does not fade when under top coat.

This design is fun but surprisingly wearable. I have worn it with platform sandals and a large linen set and felt completely put together. And yes—strangers have asked me if I did it myself (I did, thank you very much).

Cotton Candy Soft Pink

This is a pastel pink so soft it could only be the signature color of summer. It is sweet, but not sugary, neutral, but not plain and it looks great from brunch to beach. This type of light pink is particularly August-like, it is a kind of farewell to summer heat, still light, still warm, but promising more gentle transitions.

Cotton Candy Soft Pink+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
My personal favorites that I use to achieve this look are Essie Ballet Slippers and OPI Mod About You. They have that milky pink payoff that is not chalky. The top coat is very shiny, which maintains the appearance at a higher level rather than being flat.

This color has to be applied on a smooth nail plate to appear its best, and I always apply it after a light buffing block and ridge-filling base coat. Cure well with gel, two coats and top it off. It has an air of being refined and gorgeous without having to be flashy about it.

I tend to reach for this when I need a mood boost—it’s one of those shades that instantly makes me feel put-together, even if the rest of my outfit is just jeans and a tee.

Neon Pop Safari

Okay, this one is for the maximalists. There is bold pink, electric blue, mustard yellow and a cheeky leopard print that basically says, Yes, I did that. It’s playful, chaotic (in a curated way), and designed to grab attention—perfect for end-of-summer festivals, concerts, or just being the main character at Trader Joe’s.

Neon Pop Safari+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
To recreate this, use Color Clubs Warhol to get that pop of pink and China Glaze Shore Enuff to get your crazy details. The print is hand painted with a detail brush or stamped to give clean lines.

There’s no exact science here. Paint the solid nails and then apply the patterns with the help of a small brush dipped in black polish. Put a gel sealant on top to keep the layers crisp and shiny.

It is the type of design which immediately makes you look brighter. One of my friends wore this to Lollapalooza and people asked her whether she had it done professionally – no, just good polish, time and a ring light.

Sky Safari Mix

In case you are not into Barbiecore but still want to wear color, this baby blue and burnt orange combination with a slight zebra print is the most creative compromise you can make. It’s edgy but wearable, especially with denim or anything in warm neutrals. The fun tension is brought about by the contrast between the cool blue and the warm leopard touches.

Sky Safari Mix+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
For that crisp blue, go with OPI’s “It’s a Boy!” and pair it with Butter London’s “Sunset Strip” for the accent spots. Zebra stripes can be done with Stamping Plates by Twinkled T, or freehanded if you’re confident.

Begin by covering with main colors, and then toppings with patterns are applied on dry polish. Apply an extra shine and durable no-wipe top coat-patterns should be preserved to be more durable.

It is such a design that makes me feel like an inner runway stylist. It is that unforeseen combination of cool girl and creative energy that I did not realize I was lacking until I tried it.

Muted Blue Chic

This is the one in case you are in your quiet luxury phase. It is a desaturated cornflower blue polish, which is just surprising enough to feel trendy, yet subtle enough to wear daily. It is the color that you did not realize you were missing until it is on your toes and then all sandals seem more purposeful.

Muted Blue Chic+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
In this tone, Zoya or Olive and June, Blu or Angie, respectively, are just the right amount of soft-blue sweetness. The trick is to apply it, thinly, all over and finish with a gloss top coat to avoid making it look dull.

The color goes well with silver jewelry, white linen and leather sandals. It is that type of neutral that you do not anticipate, but when you put it on, you will be asking yourself how you could have done without it.

The first time I wore this was on a beach trip to Nantucket and it was all cool but not trying. It is subtle, fashionable, and modern enough to be different to your regular nudes and reds.

Retro Turquoise Daisy

We are finishing it off with a bright turquoise ground and large daisy motif which is retro, but in the best possible sense. This design rides the line between playful and nostalgic, evoking ’70s vibes while still feeling completely now. The petals of the daisy are crisp and dramatic with a golden center which gives a wink of glam.

Retro Turquoise Daisy+August Toe Nails Ideas 2025
In the case of turquoise, the perfect match is the Too Yacht to Handle by China Glaze. The daisy can be created with white nail polish and a dotting tool or cheat it with ready-made stickers, particularly when you are on vacation and short of time.

Paint two layers of turquoise and wait till it dries completely and then place the daisy decal or paint the flower. Here top coat is necessary so that the detailed art is not worn off.

It is just logical to wear florals in August. It is not the end of summer yet, but you already enjoy the best moments of it, and this design will help you do it.

Graphic Cool With Monochrome and Mint

It is a graphic-style design that is somehow daring and reserved at the same time, and it is so controlled and editorial in the use of soft mint, deep black, and crisp white. The style tends toward modern-art-and-stained-glass, with smooth abstract lines that are made to stand out due to the high contrast. It is balanced with high-gloss black on the rest of the toes, edgy, but not too hard. This design is an all-out victory on the days of transition when it is still hot as summer but the hints of fall are already blowing.

August toe nails+Graphic Cool With Monochrome and Mint
To get this look, you’d want a true jet-black gel (like Gelish Black Shadow) and a muted mint—Essie’s Mint Candy Apple works well, though for gels, Kiara Sky or Madam Glam offers similar tones. You’ll also need a fine detailing brush and a creamy opaque white (try LeChat Perfect Match Snow White). The trick is pigmentation and precision- this design is based on extremely clean lines. I prefer to dot out curves with a dotting tool, prior to painting.

This isn’t a throw-it-on-and-go look—you’ll need patience. First, shape and buff. Then apply your black base. Let that cure. Sketch your design in black with a liner brush and put in mint and white. Top with a thick no-wipe coat to make it look like candy glaze. According to celeb manicurist Tom Bachik (aka J.Lo’s go-to), layering thinly and curing fully between each step is what makes intricate nail art last without lifting.

I had something like this in September when I went to Portland. And, yes–twice in waiting for coffee I was detained by compliments. There’s something about this combination that screams creative but pulled-together. When your toes are telling you taste, you do not need to yell.

Sunset Splat With Tangerine Pop

This is happiness in polish style- sunset orange and art class splatter. It gives that fun, cheeky vibe without feeling childish. The complete coverage of orange on the majority of toes brings a dose of heat, whereas the graphic splatter art on the big toe makes the whole thing fresh and playful. I think it would be ideal at August BBQs, on rooftop happy hours, and whenever you are barefoot on sun-warmed tiles.

August toe nails+Sunset Splat With Tangerine Pop
This works best with a high-impact tangerine like OPI’s No Tan Lines or Beetles Gel #226. To do the splatter begin with a clean white gel such as Modelones Pure White and flick the orange using a straw or splatter brush. When you are not ready to freehand the art, stamping plates with abstract dot patterns can completely assist you, MoYou London has solid ones.

I tend to do this by painting two coats of the orange on all the toes except the big one. In that one, you do two coats of white, cure, then flick or drip the tangerine with a nail art brush that has been lightly dipped. Let the drips dry for a second before curing. Put a gloss coat on it and clean the cuticles using a small brush dipped in remover. In case you are going DIY, tape the skin around your nails so you do not have to clean up.

To me, this kind of pedi is about fun. I have one that is similar and wore it one girls weekend in Palm Springs and it held up so well. It makes your sandals appear as accessories and not mere footwear. And the design also makes your feet look like it is having a small party.

Pure Blue Energy

Electric blue toes? Yes, please. This look is striking and surprisingly versatile. The polish in this case is between cobalt and royal blue and that mirror-gloss that shouts of confidence. It is not too dark, so it is a good choice even on late-summer days when you are in the mood of something more edgy than pastels, but you are not yet ready to move on to fall wine colors.

August toe nails+Pure Blue Energy
The easiest way to achieve this look is using a high pigment gel such as Bio Seaweed Gel Blue My Mind or DND Electric Blue. The frequent polish alternatives are Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in Set Sail, which is available to those of us who are not always devoted to gels. The most important thing here is the finish, be sure that it is high shine.

I never apply polish without a ridge-filling base so that it applies perfectly. Two thin coats, each cured or fully dried, followed by a top coat that has UV protection built in (to keep the color from fading). Nail tech to the stars Julie Kandalec tends to advise the application of a blue LED light to enhance the intensity of cool tones prior to sealing, it is a strange tip but it works.

When I put this on, I always feel like I just got a blowout and I am wearing white jeans like I have my life together even when I do not. It’s empowering in the tiniest, prettiest way.

Glossy Black and Leopard Accent

This is a twist: animal print in soft and sleek black. It is that cool girl in a linen set. The leopard is miniature and refined, not Hailey Bieber off-duty, but not the rave of the 90s. And that contrast of the nude background and the orange-black spots? Perfection. Everything is anchored by glossy black on the other toes and this is a very wearable version of baddie-chic.

August toe nails+Glossy Black and Leopard Accent
To get this look at home, you’ll need a soft beige base (try Zoya’s Cho or Essie’s Wild Nude) and a medium orange like Orly’s Life’s a Peach. With a small brush or toothpick dot irregular shapes. Sketch some of them in black, leaving other open to contrast. It requires a steady hand and it can be done–and it is worth it.

I tend to put the foundation in place and then plot the positions using the orange. Then I follow some lines with a black gel pen or a thin detail brush. Cure everything fully, and top with a high-gloss finish. I am taking the tip of nail artist Betina Goldstein here: Don t over-outline. The negative space is what makes it look modern.” She’s right.

This is one that takes me back to one day last August when I wore woven slides to brunch and felt that every toe was a statement. It’s just enough wildness without stepping into “theme” territory.

Retro Flower Pop With Multicolor Tips

Okay, this one is one that makes me smile just seeing it. It’s a mash-up of late ’60s flower power and modern playful minimalism. The big toes are painted in pastel florals, blue, pink, white, on a clear or milky base, but the smaller toes are all Skittles baby blue, peach, rose pink, and a creamy nude. This design is vacation energy, as you are walking through a Miami boardwalk holding a beach bag in one hand and gelato in the other.

August toe nails+Retro Flower Pop With Multicolor Tips
In this look, you want to use a semi-sheer nude gel such as The GelBottle gel in Nudeberry. The florals need dotting tools or a small brush. Those juicy pastel shades can be done using Color Club Pastel Kit or OPI x Barbie. It’s low on tools but high on effect. And when you do this at home, experiment with the application of the flowers after the top coat and seal again, it has a 3D, almost sticker-like effect.

This is my favorite one to staycation at the end of summer or even a wedding weekend. I was dressed like a backyard engagement party and three people have asked me whether they were stickers. Nah, it was only me and a dotting tool past 10 PM on a Tuesday.

Minimal Luxe With Gold Frames

This one is classy in the most casual manner: a light nude foundation covered with light metallic gold outlining each nail. It’s structured without feeling stiff, classy without being dated. I would term it as jewelry to your toes, clean, minimalistic and the kind of style that makes sandals feel five times costlier. Perfect for when your tan is glowing and you’re in the mood to keep things chic but subtle.

August toe nails+Minimal Luxe With Gold Frames
In this one, I go into the soft sheer pinks such as OPI Bubble Bath or Bio Seaweed Gel Cupcake as a base. The gold? Metallic striping tape is an option, but I like hand-painted accents with Leafgel Gold Leaf gel paint or GEL-X Gold Foil Ink, you have more control and wear. Simply ensure that your brush is ultra thin such as a 9mm liner.

It is one of those designs that are easy to look at but time consuming. I use alcohol to clean the nail plate and then apply a rubber base coat and then go with the sheer nude. Cure that, and follow the gold around the cuticle and tips in a single motion. Top coat closes it all. Celebrity nail artist Britney Tokyo is a fan of double top coating metallics and it shows.

It is providing me with the I summer in Italy vibes, even when I am doing errands in slip-ons. It is classic and can be worn every day yet it is special, which to be honest is my favorite type of polish story.

Soft Nude with Glitter Angles & Crystals

This is a full-glam pedicure without going overboard. The warm pink-nude base is enhanced with the hint of bronze glitter triangles and the halo of micro-crystals around the cuticle. It feels like sunset light on rose champagne. I adore the way everything is placed that it highlights the big toe but does not conflict with the rest-still soft, still polished but not boring.

August toe nails+Soft Nude with Glitter Angles & Crystals
Gelish Primrose and Proper or Daisy DND Rose Petal is the best base to get this look. The glitter effect may be Orly Halo or you can combine loose fine glitter with clear gel. Crystals? I apply Swarovski SS3 or SS5 using a wax pencil and a little builder gel to make them stick.

The secret is to draw the triangle using dotting tool first. Heal the nude, and with the glitter tap into your marked area and with a fan brush lightly brush it into the triangle shape. Apply the crystals once you have applied your first top coat and seal it again. According to nail educator Sarah Bland, negative space geometry is the thing of the moment, and this completely makes sense.

This brings me to a beach wedding that I attended and all the guests had toes of the next level. I made a copy of this to myself, and it fitted my blush satin slip so well, that I was almost in tears. Okay—maybe I actually cried a little.

Matte Beige with Baby Red Hearts

Tell me this is not the adorable minimalist design you have ever seen this summer. A matte beige backdrop is soft, and little red hearts are placed on it, one on each nail, and centered as a love note on each toe. It’s playful, flirty, and the ultimate throwback to ’90s sticker vibes but grown up. Totally wearable, but with a wink.

August toe nails+Matte Beige with Baby Red Hearts
I applied OPI Put It In Neutral or Zoya Avril as base color in this look. After drying, a matte top coat (like Essie’s Matte About You) sets the tone. The hearts are painted by hand using a micro brush with OPI Big Apple Red, or nail decals in case you are not that good at freehand.

When I recreate this, I start with a full prep (cuticle pushback, buff, base coat). After that two coats of the nude polish and a matte top coat. When dry I put on the hearts with a dual-dotting tool, two dots next to each other then drag down into a point to create the shape. That trick was posted by TikTok nail artist Amy Le and has rescued my heart designs more times than I can count.

It’s fun without being loud. When I wore this the first time, I got my best friend taking a double-take in flip-flops. “Are those… little hearts?” she asked. Yes. Yes, they are. Love really is in the details.

Chrome-Blue Siren Shine

You remember that time when the sun shines on your toes and the polish seems to be able to run a spaceship? That’s this look. A dark sapphire chrome that varies in tone with the angle–blue-indigo, blue-electric lapis. This one isn’t just a pedicure; it’s an attitude.

August toe nails+Chrome-Blue Siren Shine
To get that reflective chrome, I usually start with a black gel base (like Beetles Black Mirror) and burnish a blue chrome powder (Daily Charme’s Blue Nova) over it with a sponge applicator. Top coat with a non-wipe top coat and then buff lightly to give that super sheen.

This requires some patience, you must not put oils or water on the chrome before it is sealed. Once the base is cured, the powder should be applied and lightly buffed until it is shiny. Seal it with a top coat, cure once more and do not forget to cap the edges. Nail pro Julie Kandalec also makes it a point to seal the free edge to prevent flaking of the chrome-she is correct.

In this I feel like a Bond girl at a rooftop party. It’s luxe. It’s cool. It is the something blue that you did not know you wanted in August.

Matte Orange with Jet Black Leaf

This is one of the color combinations that never wears out in late summer: bright orange and smooth black. The matte finish makes it have a chalky texture which is fresh and artsy and the small black detail of the leaf on the big toe makes it just sophisticated enough to break it. Think Aperol Spritz meets graphic design.

August toe nails+Matte Orange with Jet Black Leaf
Easing into this effect, use Zoya Arizona as your base with the appearance of a deep orange and Maniology Black Stamping Polish or DND Black Licorice to create the effect of the leaf. Seal it off using OPI Matte Top Coat- or in case you fancy it a bit more velvet-like, Velvet Touch by Luxapolish will do the trick.

Creating the leaf motif is easier than it looks. Paint the spine of the leaf first using a thin striping brush and then drag out angled strokes of each frond. You can do that with a stencil, and sponge the black polish through lightly, if you prefer. Wait till it dries and then apply the matte top coat to avoid smearing.

This one is like studio apartment with abstract art prints and orange candles to me. I attended a gallery opening in it and a person complimented my toes over my clothes. Honestly? No complaints.
